Tim Gross

Lead Pastor


Pastor Tim has led our growing, multi-ethnic congregation since 2006. He came to Evangel from California where he was the Executive Pastor of Harvest Church, near Sacramento. He is a graduate of North Central University and a third-generation minister of the gospel who is passionate about helping individuals and families discover their potential in Christ. Pastor Tim teaches God’s Word with humor, passion and the heart of a shepherd.

Tim and his wife, Heather, live in Loganville, GA, with their youngest of five, Keegan. The three oldest, Isaac (married to Audrianna), Adriana (married to Jacob) and Peyton are all serving in full-time pastoral ministry. Noah is in college and also senses God’s call on his life to become a pastor. PT loves to golf and he is a baseball fanatic.

Eric McDonald

Pastor of Families with Students


Eric and his wife Destiny joined TeamEvangel in 2014 after serving in youth ministry at a church in the Orlando area for seven years. Both graduated from Southeastern University, where Eric also received his master’s degree. The McDonald’s have three beautiful children: Sydney, Peyton and Judah.

Pastor Eric enjoys playing basketball, going to concerts and spending time with family and friends.

Peyton Gross

Pastor of Worship Arts


Peyton grew up at Evangel and joined the team in 2017, first as an intern and then full-time. He is a graduate of Southeastern University where he studied Ministerial Leadership. His hobbies include golf, graphic design and all things hipster.

Austin Hart

Interim Pastor of Families with Children


Austin is a pastor’s kid who graduated from Florida School of Discipleship and is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God.  He came to us from Fort Myers, Fl, where he was full-time in the children’s ministry of a large church. Austin loves motorcycles and working with his hands to create things. His favorite order at Starbuck’s is a Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew, in case you might be stopping there.

Destiny McDonald

Administrative Assistant


Destiny came on staff as Administrative Assistant in 2018. She is a graduate of Southeastern University and previously served at a church in Orlando in various capacities. The McDonald’s have three children: Sydney, Peyton and Judah. Destiny is also a professional photographer.

Eason Adams

Student & Worship Ministries Intern


Eason is working with Pastor Eric and Pastor Peyton for six months, between January and June of this year. Originally from Moultrie, Georgia, Eason came to us from Columbus Leadership Campus of Point University. He is in his last semester and will graduate with a degree in applied ministry. Following his graduation, he hopes to work in youth ministry in the metro Atlanta area.
