Tim Gross

Lead Pastor

Pastor Tim has led our growing, multi-ethnic congregation since 2006. He came to Evangel from California where he was the Executive Pastor of Harvest Church, near Sacramento. He is a graduate of North Central University and a third-generation minister of the gospel who is passionate about helping individuals and families discover their potential in Christ. Pastor Tim teaches God’s Word with humor, passion and the heart of a shepherd.

Tim and his wife, Heather, live in Loganville, GA, with their three youngest kids, Peyton, Noah and Keegan. They also have two grown children who are married and in ministry: Isaac and his wife Audi live in Scottsdale, Arizona. Adriana and her husband Jacob are in Dayton, Ohio.  PT loves to golf and he is a baseball fanatic.

Peyton Gross

Peyton is interning with us as he completes his final year at Southeastern University where he is studying Ministerial Leadership. It is great to have someone who grew up at Evangel to step in as we search for a new full-time Pastor of Worship Arts.

Eric McDonald

Pastor of Families with Students

Eric and his wife Destiny joined TeamEvangel in 2014 after serving in youth ministry at a church in the Orlando area for seven years. Both graduated from Southeastern University, where Eric also received his master’s degree. The McDonald’s have three beautiful children: Sydney, Peyton and Judah.

Pastor Eric enjoys playing basketball, going to concerts and spending time with family and friends.

Lizzy Smith

Pastor of Families with Children

Lizzy grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri with a degree in Psychology. After her graduation she remained there for two years as a campus missionary with a ministry called Chi Alpha. Her true calling, though, is children’s ministry, where she has experience working in the church, in schools, and as a nanny.

Lizzy is an animal lover who enjoys pinterest, and sipping coffee while reading a good book.
